Die Videoinstallation zeigt Details aus Leuchtreklameflächen auf dem New Yorker Times Square. Die Aufnahmen stammen aus dem Jahr 1995. Zu dieser Zeit bestanden die Lauflichter noch aus Glühlampen. Längst wurden sie durch große LED-Boards ersetzt. In diesem Video werden die Leuchtreklamen herausgelöst aus der Hektik der Stadt und den Gebäuden, an denen sie montiert sind. Sie erhalten eine neue Existenz. Die Architektur tritt in den Hintergrund, wird fast unsichtbar, und durch das künstliche Licht entsteht eine virtuelle Welt. Linien und Farben werden fließend, strömen, verändern sich ständig, mischen sich, verschmelzen miteinander, dehnen sich weiter aus oder kontrahieren sich. Das künstliche Licht und der Klang des Synthesizers verselbständigen und verbinden sich.

The video installation shows details from illuminated billboards in New York's Times Square. The recordings are from 1995. At this time the lights were still running on light bulbs. Long ago they were replaced by large LED boards. In this video, the neon signs have been removed from the hustle and bustle of the city and the buildings in which they are mounted. They receive a new life. The architecture takes a back seat, is almost invisible and creates a virtual world by the artificial light. Lines and colors become flowing, change constantly, mix, merge, expand, or continue to contract. The artificial light and the sound of the synthesizer both connect with each other and become independent of one another.
