Die 2-Kanal-Videoinstallation „Queens“ zeigt in einer dynamischen Kamerafahrt die Strecke des N-Train zwischen Astoria Boulevard und Broadway, USA. Der Betrachter schaut auf entfernte Gebäude und Bahnsteige mit Menschen, die durch die Bewegung schemenhaft ineinander fließen. Dieser medial erschaffene Bühnenraum lebt von einem sanften Spiel der Geschwindigkeiten. Die Performanz der statischen Architekturelemente ergibt sich auf natürliche Weise durch das Tempo des Zuges und im Verhältnis zu der Entfernung der vorbeiziehenden Objekte. Diese eigentlich klare visuelle Erfahrung von Raum und Zeit wird durch die asynchrone Projektion und eine stimmungsvolle Akustik zu einer neuen medialen Raumwahrnehmung und die Installation so zu einer unendlichen Reise für den Betrachter. 

The 2-channel video installation "Queens" shows the route of the N-Train between Astoria Boulevard and Broadway, USA, in a dynamic tracking shot. The viewer looks at distant buildings and platforms with people who flow into each other in a shadowy way through the movement. This media-created stage space thrives on a gentle interplay of speeds. The performance of the static architectural elements arises naturally from the speed of the train and in relation to the distance of the passing objects. This actually clear visual experience of space and time is transformed by the asynchronous projection and atmospheric acoustics into a new media perception of space, turning the installation into an infinite journey for the viewer.
